Wild Works is a quarterly newsletter highlighting Nashville Zoo's conservation work, including research, habitat protection, breeding programs and education initiatives, plus cool ways that YOU can help us save species around the globe as well as in your own backyard!

Hi friend, will you help save gibbons this October?

In celebration of International Gibbon Day on October 24, we are taking action to help save gibbon habitat and want you to join us!
There are nearly 20 different species of gibbons native to southeastern Asia and they are all vulnerable to extinction largely due to habitat destruction. In fact, their forest habitat is being destroyed at a rate of 32 acres per minute(!), thanks to the clear-cutting done to produce palm oil and other forms of human development.
You are contributing to the destruction of gibbon habitat, and you may not even be aware. Found in over half of all consumer products, palm oil is the single largest threat to forests and all the species living there because of unsustainable production practices like clear-cutting.

TAKE ACTION FOR GIBBONS TODAY!

HAVE YOUR DOLLARS DOUBLED!

Our conservation partner, Borneo Nature Foundation is helping to protect the forests that gibbons call home through anti-logging patrols, fire-fighting teams, environmental education and restoration of damaged forests.
You can help us fund forever for gibbons by donating $5 or more to the Zoo's conservation fund to help support Borneo Nature Foundation.
Through the end of October, Nashville Zoo will match your donations - doubling your dollar and doubling our impact!
The Zoo will match up to $10,000 in total donations.
